The Critical Care Med Surg RN will provide
inpatient services for adult patients ages 18 and older , along with
emergency services for patients of all ages. This unique scope allows the Community Hospital RN to practice across the continuum of care, delivering comprehensive medical-surgical nursing while responding to urgent and emergent needs in the Emergency Department. The Acute Care RN plays a key role in stabilizing, assessing, and coordinating care for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations. With a manageable census and strong interdisciplinary communication, the Registered Nurse RN Acute Care builds meaningful patient relationships while maintaining high clinical standards. The RN Acute Care
reports directly to the Charge Nurse and collaborates with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, and a diverse healthcare professional team. The Acute Care Nurse utilizes independent and interdependent clinical judgment in accordance with California Title 22 Nursing Service regulations to ensure safe, high-quality care delivery. Responsibilities include comprehensive assessments, development and implementation of individualized nursing care plans, medication and IV administration, emergency response including Code Blue participation, ventilator support, and patient and family education .
