Each Member is placed at one school site upon hiring to serve for the entire school year (commuting among school sites is not a daily requirement.)
Program Overview
AmeriCorps EXL Members serve within the Napa Expanded Learning (EXL) Program and/or the ACE After School Program to provide comprehensive academic, enrichment, and social-emotional support to students. All students at the school site benefit from organized, collaborative games and positive conflict resolution support during recess and lunch. Students identified as needing additional support may be assessed and assigned targeted literacy or math tutoring services and/or placed in a social-emotional mentoring group to help foster student success, connection, and overall well-being.
