We are currently seeking experienced underground Drillers to join our team. This role will take you to the remote Alaskan wilderness, where you will learn new skills, build life-long friendships, and earn serious money.

Working directly with our highly skilled staff of Drillers, Walking Bosses & Project Managers, assisting and learning all aspects of underground drilling, while delivering exceptional services to our valued client.

Working a 4 week on, 2 week off OR 4 week on, 4 week off rotating schedule of days and nights, 12 hours a day or more at a remote campsite. Extreme conditions, including but not limited to, extreme and changing weather conditions, dust, mud, varying levels of noise, varying degrees of light and dark, in and around artificial light and in a confined work area.

Employees are required to stay on site at the client provided camp during the work rotation. Camp facilities provide dining service, games room, exercise & weight room, sauna, and accommodation rooms. Dormitory rooms have Wi-Fi only - no TVs are provided but streaming and calls are available through Wi-fi, and you are welcome to bring your favorite devices for entertainment purposes.

Position open to all US Residents, must be able and willing to pay for transportation to and from Fairbanks, Alaska for rotational shift. Motorcoaches are provided to Site from the Fairbanks area & airport.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years underground drilling experience in a Drillers position.
• Minimum 1 year of core or diamond drilling required.
• Experience leading, training and mentoring drill crews, including entry level Driller's Helpers.
• Experience in conducting drill moves (set-up and pack-up).
• Proven safe operation of mobile underground diamond drill rigs
• Liaise with Site Project Managers and Supervisors on drilling operations.
• Willingness to work rotational shifts at a remote mine site.
• Ability to work in an extremely physically demanding position in a remote and challenging environment.
• Strong commitment to safety, team communication and positive leadership.
• Required to pass a full physical medical assessment and lab drug & alcohol screen.
• Required to pass a comprehensive background check.

Preferred Experience

• Epiroc U6/U8 experience preferred
• Mechanical knowledge working on U6/U8 diamond drills
• Safe operation of mobile underground diamond drill rigs
• Experience using roller-latch head assemblies
• Up-hole drilling experience
• Underground grade control and exploration drilling experience
• Good understanding of drill fluid programs
• Core orientation experience
